A 21-year-old Metairie man faces murder and drug charges after a deadly shooting last week on Academy Drive. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office booked 21-year-old Nicholas Robinson for the November 28 incident, The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports.
Sheriff's officials say they found the victim, later identified as 22-year-old Daniel George, on the ground in the backyard of a residence in the 3600 block of Academy Drive. George was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.
No information was given on the circumstances of George's shooting, or what the motive may have been.
Robinson was booked for second-degree murder, obstruction of justice and drug possession.
