A joint task force between the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit, the FBI and the New Orleans Police Department have resulted in another arrest of a suspected child trafficker.
Since the force’s start in 2018, this is the fifth such arrest made.
State Troopers served an arrest warrant on 30-year-old Cornell Cobbins of New Orleans.
A search of the suspect’s residence turned up two handguns and rifle which were confiscated.
Cobbins was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Prison with trafficking a child for sexual purposes and three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
