A Kentwood woman is dead after an early morning crash in Tangipahoa Parish.
That crash happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday on LA 22 near Dutch Lane west of Pontchatoula.
According to state trooprs, Karrie Brumfield’s car veered across the centerline of LA 22 and into oncoming traffic, hitting an SUV head-on. Brumfield, 36, died at the scene. The driver of the SUV suffered moderate injuires, while a passenger in that vehicle suffered minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
