One teenager is dead and another is facing a second-degree murder charge after a deadly shooting inside a Hammond hair salon.
Hammond police say the shooting happened around 5:15 p.m. Friday inside the salon at the Town & Country Shopping Center.
According to investigators, Kylan Green shot Jermaine Stevenson, Jr., before running away into a nearby grocery store. Police say someone drove Stevenson, 18, to an area hospital, where he later died.
Police later caught Green, 19, and took him into custody on murder and illegal discharge of a weapon charges.
Police are still investigating to find out what led up to the shooting.
