A 19-year-old from Bogalusa is facing a manslaughter charge in connection with a deadly crash that happened while he allegedly was speeding away from police.
State troopers say they arrested Daniel Allen Teoulet on Friday, one month after the crash that killed Destiny Matran.
According to investigators, Teoulet sped away from officers when they tried to stop him for a traffic violation. The chase ended when Teoulet crashed his sports car into a utility pole.
Matran later died at a hospital. Teoulet was treated at a hospital and released.
In addition to the manslaughter charge, troopers booked Teoulet on aggravated flight and reckless operation charges.
