A 15-year-old accused of shooting and killing another teenager last week in New Orleans East is now in custody on a second-degree murder charge.
New Orleans police arrested the 15-year-old suspect on Wednesday. Police say he murdered 18-year-old Jairus Gayden inside a home on Bullard Avenue near Hayne Boulevard on December 4.
The teen suspect is in a juvenile detention center, where he is being held on a second-degree murder charge.
