A teen is dead after a shooting in the. St. Roch section of the city.
According to a New Orleans Police Department spokesperson, that shooting happened just after 3 p.m. Monday on St. Claude Avenue near Music Street.
Investigators say the victim, an 18-year-old male, was shot once in the body. An EMS crew pronounced him dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of his family.
So far, detectives have not developed any suspects or motives.
