Two teens are dead and a third is fighting for his life after a crash just outside of Thibodaux.
According to state troopers, that crash happened Thursday night on LA 1 near Welcome Road.
Investigators say Tristan Hartman, 16, was speeding in a curve when he lost control and ran off the road and hit a culvert. Hartman's passenger, Ashton Newkirk, 16, died at the scene. Hartman and a 14-year-old passenger in the back seat were airlifted to hospitals.
On Saturday, Hartman died from his injuries.
The 14-year-old, whom troopers say was not wearing a seat belt, remains hospitalized with what state troopers say are life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
