Harris is also ordered to complete a rehabilitation program once he is released from prison.

The judge convicted Wallace for driving drunk and striking Harris with his Nissan Altima as Harris walked in the right lane on Behrman Highway near Nile Street in Terrytown. The crash happened on April 17, 2020.

As the news outlet reports, court records say Louisiana State Police investigated the crash and Wallace had a strong smell of alcohol and was “obviously impaired.”

The report also says a 4-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl were in the back seat and unbuckled in Wallace’s Altima at the time of the crash.

According to the news outlet, this was at least the third time Wallace was accused of drunk driving. State Police Wallace had DWI arrests in other parishes including; Plaquemines Parish in 2014 and Jefferson Parish in 2017.
