Today starts the final weekend for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival at the New Orleans Fairgrounds.
Lingering overnight storms that carried over into Friday morning forced Jazz Fest officials to delay the gate opening by 30 minutes. The gates will open today at 11:30 a.m.
On the Festival Stage, headliners include Flow Tribe, who is set to perform at 11:15 a.m., and The Black Crowes close out at 5:35 p.m.
On the Gentilly Stage, Chris Isaak takes the stage at 2:15 p.m., Preservation Hall Jazz Band at 3:40 p.m., and closing will be Elvis Costello & The Imposters at 5:30 p.m.
Congo Square Stage will have New Orleans Bounce Entertainer Big Freedia at 2:55 p.m., and closing out will be Busta Rhymes at 5:45 p.m.
Lots more local and national performers will rock out across 13 stages at Jazz Fest which is in its final weekend today, Saturday, May 7, and Sunday, May 8.
