The tropical depression in the Gulf is headed toward Cuba so don’t expect any wetness from it.

Only some stray showers are possible.

That will leave us with a continued hot and mainly dry forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

A few isolated storms could pop up in the afternoons, but most of us will stay dry.

Surface high pressure will hover to our southwest which will allow us to heat up into the lower 90s.

Next week starts with a similar stretch of hot weather with a few spotty afternoon storms around.

The depression will continue its march south through the Central Gulf where eventually it will be torn apart by the wind shear.

That will probably happen by Friday night or early Saturday.

The low pressure will approach Cuba by this weekend.
