A boat crash along the Tickfaw River this weekend left two people injured and reportedly did over $1 million in damage to the craft.

According to reports on social media that were confirmed by WBRZ, an expensive catamaran was launched into the treeline along the banks of the river.

Five total passengers were in the boat, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. None were ejected, and all five were rescued by a passerby who helped them onto their boat and brought them to shore to get medical treatment.

All five are expected to be fine, including the two who were more badly injured.
