The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development released Tuesday the toll schedule for the new Belle Chasse bridge.

Tolls will be collected in each direction on the bridge using an electronic tolling system, so drivers will not have to stop at a toll booth.

Plaquemines Parish-registered vehicles that obtain GeauxPass will be charged 25 cents per crossing. Non-local Class 1 vehicles with GeauxPass will pay $1.10.

Class 1 vehicles with no GeauxPass will be charged $2.20.

Class 2 vehicles with GeauxPass will be tolled $3.66, and non-GeauxPass Class 2 vehicles will be assessed a toll of $4.76.

Class 3 vehicles with GeauxPass will pay $7.33, and large trucks without GeauxPass will be charged $8.42.

DoTD says all rate categories are subject to annual increases by CPI, except for the Plaquemines Parish resident rate.

Toll collection will begin when the bridge is completed, currently scheduled for spring of 2024.
