Tangipahoa Parish sheriff’s deputies are looking for an inmate whom they say walked off his work release job in Amite.

According to Sheriff Gerald Sticker, Christopher Delcambre was working with deputies moving pallets at the Florida Parishes Arena when he fled. Deputies noticed he was missing around 3:30 p.m. after the job had been completed. He was last seen walking towards the new baseball fields near the arena.

Sticker says Delcambre, who was in custody in connection with drugs and theft charges, has ties to the Abita Springs and Carriere, Mississippi, areas.

Officials say the rodeo scheduled for tonight at the arena will go on as planned.

If you see Delcambre, call 911 or the Tangipahoa Parish Jail at 985-748-8147.
