It's Christmas Eve and if you are the host for your family's celebration, you may be dreading having to start all the work that goes with the role: cleaning, decorating, and cooking.

There's not much you can do about the cleaning and decorating, except to get it done, however, there are a few tips for the cooking.


Chef Kevin Belton says there's enough going on, so keep it light.

"If you are good at making peanut butter sandwiches, serve that. Do what you do best."

Chef Kev says tthere are ways to keep it simple but also keep bellies full and satisfied. You may want to check with your favorite grocer.

"Some grocers have fully prepared meals that are heat and eat that take the load off."

Those meals typically run about fifty to one hundred dollars depending on how many you need to feed.

All in all, Chef Kev says it is important to remember "it's about whose at the table not what's on it."
