Tremé restaurant searching for stolen catering van

Stolen Van
Lil Dizzy Café

A New Orleans restaurant is asking for the public's help in finding their stolen catering van.

According to a post on Lil Dizzy's Café's Facebook page, that van was stolen between 3:15 a.m. and 4 a.m. Wednesday from their restaurant on Robertson Street.

Surveillance video posted on their page shows a man on a bicycle riding onto the restaurant's property. A few minutes later, the bicyclist left and returned to a pickup truck parked near the intersection of Esplanade and Robertson. Later, the man returned and, with the assistance of another man who arrived at the scene of the crime earlier, broke into the truck and pushed the truck away from its parking space. The second suspect then returned to the scene to pick up his bicycle. That suspect then rode back to the pickup truck the restaurant's owners belief was used in the theft.

The stolen van is a 2009 white Chevy Express with Louisiana license plate number N009157.
