Louisiana State Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a dirt bike rider that troopers say was speeding away from them and New Orleans police officers.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. Monday at the corner of Canal Boulevard and City Park Avenue.
According to state troopers, the dirt bike rider slammed into another vehicle while running away from local and state police who were trying to pull him over. The biker was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
The case remains under investigation.
