A St. Helena Parish man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in St. Tammany Parish.
According to Louisiana State Police, that crash happened around 9:30 a.m. Monday on LA 40 near Barker Road several miles north of Covington.
Troopers say Houston Dutruch was pulling a trailer in his pickup truck when he veered off the road, struck a culvert, and flipped. First responders pronounced Dutruch, 64, of Greensburg, dead at the scene. Investigators say Dutruch was wearing his seat belt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
