It is sure to be a helluva hullabaloo his weekend, the Tulane Green Wave hosts the American Athletic Conference's football championship game for the second straight year.
The 11-1 Green Wave will square off against the 10-2 SMU Mustangs Saturday afternoon, and the excitement is building Uptown.
"Exciting time, obviously, the last two years have been that here, for the Green Wave," said Tulane Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications Jason Corriher. "You can really feel the energy around our program and I think you're going to feel it again on Saturday."
Corriher says you can still get tickets for the 3 p.m. kickoff at Yulman Stadium.
"Tulanetix.com, there are still tickets available," he said, "You want to come out there on Saturday at three o'clock and see the green wave win a second consecutive conference championship."
And see Tulane win its first back-to-back conference championship since it was in the SEC in the 1930s!
"It's been since the early '30s, since Herbert Hoover was in office, since Tulane won back-to-back conference championships, so to be a part of that, and be around it, has certainly been special," said Corriher.
