Two people are dead, and New Orleans Police are looking for the drivers that struck and killed the pedestrians.
The first deadly crash was just after 9:00pm.
"The NOPD is investigating a HIT & RUN FATALITY at the intersection of Chef Menteur Hwy/Bundy Rd.," Public Information Officer James Roberson said in an mail. "Initial reports show one adult victim was struck by a vehicle which did not stay on scene."
He says that victim died on the scene.
About two hours later, there was another deadly crash where the driver fled.
"The NOPD is investigating a HIT & RUN FATALITY at the intersection of 3rd St/Prytania St.," Roberson said.
This time, a driver hit two people.
"Initial reports show 2 victims were struck by a vehicle which did not stay on scene. One victim was declared deceased on scene."
He says the other victim suffered severe injuries.
