An Amber Alert issued for two young missing children from Mandeville has been canceled after authorities say the children were found safe on Tuesday.
As The Times-Picayune reports, Sergio “David” Hernandez, 25, was arrested in Mississippi after being accused of kidnapping 2-month-old, Amaya Hernandez and 9-year-old Eileen De Leon Ramos Monday night.
Hernandez is the father of the youngest child according to news sources.
An Amber Alert was issued for the missing children by Louisiana State Police on behalf of the Mandeville Police Department.
Police say Hernandez was arrested in Crystal Springs Mississippi. Police also say he was wanted for questioning about a domestic violence incident that happened just before the girls were reported missing.
