The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested two men after they were both caught committing sexual acts in local parking lots during two separate incidents.
Police say 22-year-old Austin Saint Cyr of Tangipahoa Parish was arrested Wednesday on one count of Obscenity after a female victim said she caught him allegedly masturbating in a shopping center parking lot off U.S. Highway 190.
The sheriff’s office says on April 12, the woman called to report that the man pulled into an adjacent parking spot and began allegedly masturbating while watching her.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office posted a photo of that suspect on social media and tips called in by citizens, lead to Saint Cyr being identified. He turned himself in Wednesday and was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.
Tuesday evening, STPSO deputies received a separate report from another woman about another man who she also allegedly caught masturbating in his vehicle in a shopping center parking lot off Louisiana Highway 21.
Deputies responded within minutes and found 37-year-old Thomas Beall of Alexandria still naked in his vehicle in the parking lot. He was taken into custody and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center for Obscenity, Resisting Arrest, and Open Container.
“Thanks to the help of our social media followers and the quick response of our patrol deputies in our new Third District, two sexual deviants were taken off the streets before they could victimize more people,” Sheriff Randy Smith said.
