Halloween festivities in downtown New Orleans were marred by a shooting that left two people in the hospital.
According to a New Orleans Police Department spokesperson, the shooting happened just before 9 p.m. on Canal Street at Exchange Place on the edge of the French Quarter.
The spokesperson says officers found a man who had been shot when they arrived on scene. An EMS crew took that victim to the hospital. Police learned of a second victim after that person arrived at an area hospital. The victims’ conditions are unknown.
