New Orleans police are investigating two separate weekend shots fired incidents, one stemming from an armed robbery in New Orleans East and another in Gentilly that landed a man in the hospital.
The first happened around 7 p.m. Saturday on Crowder Boulevard near Lake Willow Drive. Police say the victim and the suspect were involved in an argument about an eviction when the suspect pulled a gun and demanded the victim’s property. According to investigators, a third person intervened, leading the suspect to fire a shot before running away. That shot hit no one.
The second took place just after 7 a.m. Sunday and on Elysian Fields near Mandolin Street. NOPD officials say the victim suffered a body wound. EMS took that victim to a hospital.
If you know anything about either shooting, call the NOPD at 504-658-5300 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
