It’s beginning to feel more like summer than fall today.

Warm temps and humid conditions are all around as we wait out the day expecting a heavy rain storm to make its arrival.

For today a few showers are likely late in the afternoon into the evening.

But for the most part, the rain will stay west of the region.

Saturday will trumpet the arrival of rain with heavy rainfall at times, upwards of 1-2 inches of rain with some areas seeing 2-4 inches.

If you’re headed to Baton Rouge for the big game, you’ll deal with rain in the morning but it should be dry by the kickoff.
