Get ready for a steamy start to the holiday week.
"More hot and humid weather will continue on Monday and Tuesday with afternoon temperatures in the mid 90s. Feels-like temperatures will surge into the 100s again," WWL TV Meteorologist Brooke Laizer forecasts. "There won't be much rain other than an isolated shower and storm."
That changes Tuesday night.
"By midweek, tropical moisture will surge in from the east across the Gulf Coast from the Atlantic Ocean, leading to more numerous scattered showers and storms across Southeast LA and South MS on Wednesday and Thursday. Heavy rain and isolated flooding is likely."
Laizer says we dry out again for the Independence Day weekend.
"Hotter and less rainy weather looks to settle in for the Fourth of July."
