If you're tired of the freezing conditions we've experienced over the last two weeks, we have some good news: forecasters say we should not have another major freeze this winter.

"It doesn't seem like we'll have another Arctic Blast," National Weather Service meteorologist Jacob Zeringue said. "That seems fairly unlikely."

According to  the extended outlooks don't show South Louisiana getting hit by another massive cold front like the ones that hit over the last two weekends.

"It would take another strong Arctic front to come down from Canada and linger like it did last weekend," Zeringue said. "Even some of the extended outlooks don't show us getting another Arctic blast, thankfully."

That's not to say we won't see chilly temperatures. However, Zeringue says any cold conditions we see won't severe, and warmer weather will be following right behind.

"Looks like brief freezing conditions along the Northshore Thursday morning, but other than that, it looks pretty warm," Zeringue said.
