A Harvey woman faces first degree murder charges in the death of her three-year-old son.
According to our partners at NOLA.com, the autopsy on the child, who's body was discovered yesterday, revealed the cause of death to be suffocation.
Deputies found the mother in the Manhattan Blvd. apartment with multiple cuts on her body, which the sheriff's office believes to be self-inflicted.
Thirty-Two year old Alexis Welsh will be booked when released from the hospital.
