New Orleans Police say a group of people held a woman captive after she accidentally got in their car.
"Around 3:30 AM, the victim believed she was entering an Uber at 1001 Esplanade," according to an initial police report.
The victim told police the driver took off, and took her to the 1100 block of North Rampart Street.
"The suspects refused to let her out, drove around, and stopped at Key’s Gas Station where they forced her to pump gas and assaulted her."
Cops say she was able to run away, but her belongings were still in the car.
"The victim escaped, but the suspect fled with her purse and phone."
