Authorities in St. Charles Parish are searching for a man they say carjacked a woman at a Destrehan gas station.
The carjacking happened around 2 p.m. Thursday on Airline Highway near Ormand Boulevard.
According to sheriff’s deputies, a man wearing a hoodie and a ski mask walked up to the woman while she was pumping gas. The suspect, deputies say, then pulled a gun on her, and demanded her keys. The victim complied, and the suspect drove away in her car, a dark blue Toyota Camry. The suspect was last seen driving towards New Orleans on Airline.
The victim was not injured.
