A Gretna woman is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Plaquemines Parish.
According to Louisiana State Police spokesperson Kate Stegall, Janiece Harvey was traveling along LA 39 near Hughes Street in Buras when her car ran off the road and hit a tree. Harvey, who, according to Stegall, was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken to a hospital, where she later died.
The crash remains under investigation.
