Woman fatally shot in the Plum Orchard neighborhood of New Orleans East early Friday morning.
“At around 12:31 a.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to a suspicious person call at the location. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unknown adult female lying on the ground suffering with a gunshot wound(s). EMS pronounced her dead at the scene,” said an NOPD report.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim’s name once an autopsy is completed and the family is notified.
