Northshore cops say they found a dead woman Wednesday.
"While searching the area for a missing female, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s detectives located what appears to be human remains," Sergeant Suzanne Carboni said in a news release.
The body was in a wooded area near the intersection of Tyler Drive and Kisatchie Drive near Slidell.
"Monday (June 26), STPSO detectives began searching the area for the missing person after receiving information that she was last seen in that vicinity."
Carboni says the remains were turned over to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office to make a positive identification and a determination on cause and manner of death.
"This is an ongoing investigation, and more information will be provided when it becomes available."
