New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the Desire area, at the intersection of Higgins Blvd. and Louisia St.
Police say around 1:15 a..m. Monday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a shooting in that location.
"Upon arrival, officers found an adult female inside of a vehicle suffering with a gunshot wound," said police in a statement. "EMS transported her to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased. ."
