The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash in Marrero.
"Just after 7:00 pm, deputies were called to Lapalco Blvd. near its intersection with Paxton Ave. after a white pickup truck struck a pedestrian in the eastbound lanes," Captain Jason Rivarde said.
He says the adult female was pronounced dead on the scene.
"At this time, our investigators do not suspect the vehicle’s driver was impaired. The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation, including consenting to toxicology testing."
