Gunfire around 3:30 this afternoon took the life of a young woman in the Hollygrove neighborhood.
"Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3800 block of Hollygrove Street," according to an NOPD news release. "Officers found an 18 year-old female victim on the ground."
New Orleans EMS arrived and confirmed the victim was deceased.
Police did not say anything about a suspect nor motive.
