New Orleans Police say a woman was wounded in an early morning shooting.
"The NOPD is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 4400 block of Francesco Road," Public Relations Specialist Kaitlin Rust Landry said in an email.
It happened in Venetian Isles around 3:45am.
"Initial information shows an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound was transported to the hospital by EMS."
There was no information available about the condition of the victim or anything about any suspects.
