A New Orleans woman was hospitalized when a bullet fired outside her home went through the house and struck her.
New Orleans Police say the incident happened shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday in the 2400 block of Jonquil Street.
"The victim was at home when an apparently stray bullet penetrated her residence and struck her," according to NOPD investigators.
Hours later, police arrested 78-year-old Gerald Brancaccio in connection with the shooting.
