WWL TV is out with a new poll in the race for mayor of New Orleans.

Helena Moreno leads, and in second and third place are candidates Royce Duplesis and Oliver Thomas.

"In head-to-head matchups, Moreno maintains wide leads. She tops Thomas 59% to 26% and holds a similar advantage over Duplessis, 58% to 27%," WWL TV reports.

The survey found roughly 15% of voters remain undecided.

Of the decided voters; Moreno has enough to win without a runoff.

"Moreno gets close to 55 percent of the decided vote, which is what really puts her in a position to win in the primary," according to WWL TV Political Analyst Clancy Dubos.

The poll, commissioned by WWL Louisiana and Faucheaux Strategies, surveyed 600 New Orleans voters from August 8-14, 2025.
