Dyrin "D.J." Riculfy, the Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club member who was critically wounded in the Houston shooting that took the life of New Orleans Police Detective Everett Briscoe, The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports.
Riculfy was removed from life support Tuesday, according to fellow Zulu member and New Orleans City Councilman Jay Banks.
Riculfy and Briscoe were part of a group of Zulu members who had gone to Houston for vacation. While dining at Grotto Ristorante on August 21, a pair of gunman attempted to rob them. The robbery went bad, and Briscoe and Riculfy were shot. The robbers fled empty-handed.
Two suspected gang members have been arrested and booked for capital murder.
