CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO/KLUV) -- This is not something you hear every day.

A Chicago man has been charged after biting another man's nipple off following a road rage incident Sunday night on Lake Shore Drive, prosecutors said.

According to prosecutors, 35-year-old Kyle Clark was driving north on Lake Shore Drive around 11:40 p.m. Sunday night when he sideswiped another vehicle near Jackson Street.

Rather than pull over, he kept going. What happened next is quite the story.

The driver of the vehicle that Clark sideswiped happened to be an off-duty cop, who was riding with a friend - a 38-year-old man.

The men pulled up next to Clark and ordered that he pull over, so they could file a crash report, CWB Chicago reported.

According to prosecutors, the off-duty cop identified himself as a Chicago police officer and Clark pulled over. But as soon as both drivers stepped out of their cars, Clark began punching the cop.

The cop's friend stepped in to help, at which point Clark then proceeded to bit the man's nipple off.

On-duty officers were called to the scene and Clark was arrested after a brief struggle. The bite victim was taken to a nearby hospital to have the wound closed with stitches, CWB Chicago reported.

There's no word if they managed to save the nipple.

According to prosecutors, Clark has previously been convicted three times for aggravated battery of peace officers — twice in 2012 and once in 2006.

He is now charged with aggravated battery of a peace officer, aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

A judge set bail at $100,000 and said Clark must go onto electronic monitoring if he posts the 10 percent deposit bond to get out of jail.
