AT&T's mobile network is back online after a nationwide outage early Thursday morning left thousands of customers without service.
"We have restored wireless service to all our affected customers," AT&T officials said in a statement posted to the company's website. "We sincerely apologize to them. Keeping our customers connected remains our top priority, and we are taking steps to ensure our customers do not experience this again in the future."
AT&T officials say they are still trying to figure out what caused that outage, which was first reported online by customers around 3:30 a.m.
The Federal Communications Commission is reportedly now investigating the outage. The United States Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is also reportedly monitoring the situation.
