In light of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's historic raid on former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida to execute a federal search warrant, a number of prominent Republicans have voiced their outrage.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia was particularly clear about her anger on social media.

"DEFUND THE FBI!" Greene tweeted in all-caps as news was breaking of the search of Trump's property by federal agents.

Greene later clarified her stance in an interview, saying that federal agents should have an extremely narrow scope in terms of what they are funded to investigate, specifying "prosecution of sex trafficking or human trafficking or drugs coming across our state lines."

The search was reportedly related to a cache of potentially classified documents that Trump allegedly removed from the White House unlawfully as his Presidential term was coming to a close.

Greene may find sympathetic ears on the right for that particular stance. House Freedom Caucus chair Andy Biggs of Arizona had previously spoken on the matter as well.

"There are things you can do. You start defunding some of these bad agencies. The FBI. The DOJ," Biggs said at the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) conference.
