DETROIT (WWJ) -- Already known for his raps about potholes, snow, the coronavirus, stimulus checks, The Lodge, and Big Gretch, Detroit rapper GMac Cash is out with what's sure to be another hit.
The music video for "Gas So High" — which has already garnered more than 56,000 views on YouTube since it dropped on Monday — sums up what pretty much all of us are feeling.

With average pump prices now well above $4 a gallon, drivers in Metro Detroit across the U.S. are sure to identify with the lyrics: "Why the f— is the gas so high? Man, nobody better ask for a ride," "I'm about to see how long I can ride on E," and, "Man, the gas so high I looked up and God, reminisce about the times that it was $2.05."
"Sometimes I just wanna cry when I look up at the prices," Cash adds.
On Wednesday a proposal to suspend Michigan's 27 cents per-gallon gas tax to ease drivers' pain was approved in the State House. It's not yet clear if Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will sign the legislation if it makes it to her desk.
