Beloved singer and humanitarian, Dolly Parton, has died at the age of 80. According to an official statement released by the family, Parton died peacefully Tuesday in Nashville, Tennessee.

An announcement also came via Instagram on Dolly's official account, with her nephew, Bryan Seaver, delivering the news.

Parton’s health made headlines in 2025, as she announced that she would not be able to perform at her December residency at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace.

“As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,” she shared at the time. “As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000 mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!"

Parton is one of the most successful Country artists in history, with 25 number-one singles, and 41 Top 10 country albums. Dolly also sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time
