Kid Rock joined President Donald Trump at the White House Monday while wearing an American flag-themed outfit. The musician was accompanied during his visit by liberal comedian Bill Maher.
Despite Maher being a well-known liberal personality, Kid Rock shared more about his experience and how it “could not have been any better” while speaking on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday morning.
“Everyone was so surprised, so pleasant,” he said Tuesday.

“The most shocking thing to me was, Bill’s obviously a very big liberal, been very hard on the president, but he’s donated a lot of money to other politicians – Biden, Clinton, Obama – [yet] he had never been to the White House, and the president was so gracious,” he added.
Kid Rock was behind the meeting between Trump, Maher, and Dana White, the CEO of the UFC.
The musician shared that Trump took the group to the private residence where they saw Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address in the Lincoln Bedroom.
While the group discussed issues they all aligned on, Kid Rock praised Trump for extending an “olive branch” to Maher and being cordial with him.
“The president was asking him what he thought about policy going on with Iran and Israel and things. It just blew my mind. I was very proud,” he said.
On top of that, Kid Rock says he believes Maher now has a newfound appreciation for Trump and his personality, saying he most likely views him differently now.
“Everybody’s mind was kind of blown… everyone was a little suspect about going into this,” Kid Rock said. “We’re just trying to show people that, even though we’ve been pretty hard on each other, that when you get face to face, maybe we can have a little more civility in this country and try to bring people together. That was my whole intention.”
Kid Rock was initially present at the White House to accompany Trump when he signed an executive order targeting concert ticket price gouging.
