One of the most fun and joyful nights of the year turned dark and terrifying when a teen allegedly opened fire on Halloween night revelers in Orlando, Fla.

Multiple sources reported that two people have been killed and six injured. The suspect, Jaylen Dwayne Edgar, was arrested after allegedly opening fire near thousands of revelers in two separate areas of downtown.

He was tacked by police at the second scene. Police revealed that about 100 officers were working a special Halloween detail in the area, which allowed for a quick arrest.

“He walked by multiple officers,” Smith said. “He didn’t really care.”

Edgar's alleged motive is yet unknown, but police do know witnesses said he stayed outside, in the streets, to spray bullets. "He pretty much walked into downtown, walked into the street and did what he did,' Orlando Police Chief Eric Smith said.

Smith held an early morning press conference Friday where he revealed that officers responded to calls about the first round of shots at 1:07 a.m. at Central Boulevard and Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando. A second round of gunfire nearby was reported "within minutes."

The six surviving victims were transported to Regional Medical Center in Orlando for treatment. They are in stable condition, the chief confirmed.

The shooting victims ranged in age from 19 to 39, the chief added.
