With just under six weeks to go before voters cast ballots in the race for governor of Louisiana, Attorney General Jeff Landry's campaign reports more than $8 million cash on-hand.
Landry has also been at the top of most major polls, although he comes in short of holding the 50 percent-plus-one needed to avoid a runoff.
USA TODAY reports Landry has $8.4 million in the bank and will report $3 million raised from July 7 - September 4.
All candidates must file campaign finance reports by September 14.
