ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The Saint Louis Zoo sea lions are used to engaging with thousands of people walking through their tunnel every day. But they've been a bit bored lately, since the coronavirus pandemic has kept the Aqua Tunnel at Sea Lion Sound inside the Zoo closed.

But the Zoo staff found a great way to get them moving. They played with remote-controlled cars to give the sea lions an opportunity to chase something through the tunnel.

The Zoo says, "Tunnel enrichment sessions provide our pinnipeds with a lot of mental and physical stimulation & keep them interested and engaged, especially during the times of no guest interaction. It turns out remote controlled cars are a lot of fun to chase if you're a sea lion!"
