It was a call that began with a stark warning to "wake up" and pay attention to what's really going on in America. The warning came from a listener - Chris from Metairie, LA - and was about the battle between good and evil that is currently being fought on American soil.
The serious urgency in the voice of the caller left the impression that this individual was using his time on my show to warn everyone about what's really going on in America before it's too late.
The caller was informing us that the President Biden we see on the news is an imposter and the real President Biden was removed from office and hanged. The real president is dead - so are Hillary Clinton and George W. Bush - all executed. When I asked the caller for the source of this profound information he cited the website: realrawnews.com.
There was no fire in Maui because the caller saw video trees that were not burned and insisted if there are trees that were not burned then there could not have been a fire. He rambled about the vaccines that are "killing us" and when I asked who will lead us in the battle between good and evil - he said Trump.
Some of the things the caller asserted as true seemed to be the workings of a disturbed mind that was completely out-of-touch with reality. As scary as the things he was talking about were - the scariest thing was that he was convinced that he was speaking the truth and the media and everyone else were wrong.
Even scarier is that this man who called into the show today is not alone. There are other Americans waving the flag and proclaiming to be true patriotic Americans who have been brainwashed by fringe conservative websites.
It is a challenge for the rational-minded among us to attempt to understand why some people are so easily brainwashed into believing nonsense that can be harmful if spread. What kind of mind is so willing to believe ridiculous stories that are divorced from reality?
There is a dangerous group of right-wing radicals that identify with Republicans and conservatives that DO NOT represent the Republican Party or mainstream conservative Americans. They are indeed right-wing radicals who have become desperate in their crusade to carve a truth that represents their version of what they want to be true.
And over time these right-wing radicals feel empowered to spread their truth. They are small in numbers and do not have the people or the power to determine the outcome of a presidential election and that creates a sense of desperation. The talk of assassinations occuring in response to the prosecution of ex-President Donald Trump are coming from the right-wing radicals.
Realrawnews.com, the fake news site upon which this caller bases his hysterical warnings for me and America - is bogus and not credible. I appreciate the responsibility we have on our show to allow these right-wing radicals to expose themselves for who and what they are - brainwashed activists. The call into the show today serves as a reminder that right-wing radicals are threatening the mainstream core of the Republican Party - as well as credible conservative ideology.
